SPORTS

MASSAGE

£30

A Sports massage is ideal to treat injuries as well as a preventative treatment dealing with the health of muscle and connective tissue, range of movement, tone, symmetry, balance of muscle and quality of posture.

This treatment works deep in the muscles, realigning the muscle fibres and connective tissue, and flushing away the toxins. Regular sessions will increase joint mobility and flexibility, and reduce the risk of injury during exercise.

BENEFITS

  • Decreased muscle spasm and improved range of motion of muscles/joints Reduce pain

  • Resolvement of radicular symptoms (e.g. sciatica and referred pain down leg/arm)

  • Better recruitment and activation of appropriate muscles

  • Improved muscle activation patterns (Meaning you can lift more weight in the gym/increase speed/improve performance!)

  • Central Nervous system response at the level of the dry needling

  • Alteration in chemical balance within the muscle (this can decrease sensations of pain and reduces muscular dysfunction)

  • Relief of both acute and chronic pain

  • Promote healing at the area of the injury

  • Better relaxation/switching off in tight muscles

KINESIO

TAPING

£10

WHAT IS KINESIO TAPE?

Kinesio tape will help those areas that need a bit of support and hold those muscles in place while training allowing the area to heal and gain better movement.

It works by supporting the muscle or joint while lifting the skin allowing the blood circulation to increase and flow through the area supported allowing the healing process to begin at that area.

The kinesio tape, used by our sports therapist at Ferrifit, has menthol properties which is highly effective for reducing any pain and inflammation.

ROBERT WHITE

Just like to take the time to give credit to Miss Kirstin Ferri and her sports massage service at Ferri Fit. I have attended 4 sessions with her this year, for treatment on various injuries & niggles. Kirstin listens to all my complaints ( and there’s plenty) and has then helped provide the required treatment each session. She spends time advising me on preventative exercises to ensure that I can keep up maintenance between session. Can’t recommend her highly enough, if you have a sporting injury or niggle, she’s defo the person to get in touch with.
